anyone who knows me I think will tell you I'm an honest person. So let me tell you what happened today when I ran into the grocery store for a few things. The cashier said "Do you mind if I ask you how old you are?" Normally this iritates me a little but she was so nice. I told her my real age, 41. She couldn't believe it. She said "GOOD FOR YOU! You look great! I never would have thought that" she just went on and on. It made me feel good but it also enforced what I have been thinking: now that I'm back on Mary Kay products faithfully, I look good. My skin has a glow, my makeup goes on better. And get this: they have a lotion to help cellulite, and man my legs look better than they have in a while.

But on my face I've been using the Serum+C . It comes in a month supply, in 4 vials. That's because the formulation, mainly the C part, keeps better when packaged this way.

all I can say is WOW! I just love this company. I've started using the new (new to me ta least) products and I'm lookin' good if I do say so myself! lol . Don't worry I'm not vain, just happy. Happy to be in this company that is DEBT FREE, btw, and that cares so much about it's employees and sales force.

Yesterday I had a sweet fellow scrapper leave a comment asking about foundation. She said she wanted to learn all about it. GREAT!
Here's the thing about foundation: you really need it, no matter how great your skin is or how bad it is. The right foundation will act as a base, primer and protecter. You wouldn't start painting a wall that was covered in dust right? same thing with foundation. It's the first step after skin care to looking even better than you already do.
To pick the right shade,start trying out the product. If you're my customer we'll play around in different lights (day, evening, etc) until we get the right shade and formulation. The right foundation can make the difference between looking so-so and looking fabulous, wouldn't you agree?
That gave me an idea. I'll take a picture of me with no makeup, then a picture with foundation, then a picture in full day makeup to show you the difference.

it's quite hot and humid which is normal in Indiana at this time of year.

So I'm staying in the A/C just piddeling around the house. I did go pull weeds for about 10 minutes, then I made myself quit LOL!

I've been searching for information about how much makeup is sold in the United States. I haven't found any hard stats but I think we're all going to be surprised how much is sold. I'll post that numbers later, if I can find good credible information.

I think as women we're programmed to be hard on ourselves. Society sends messages that being thin and young is best. But everyone ages, and weight, well it's a fact we are likely to gain weight as we age.
my point is I was read something from Crystal Butler over at My Longest Year and she said "you're prettier than you think you are" .
